Project history

Fast midget submarines without ballast tanks: diving was realised by dynamic way, at the expense of work of diving planes on the move. On trials they reached 17kts submerged speed, but differed by smallest action radius owing to what there was a sentence about creation on this base of suicide submarine with explosive charge.

In total only three prototypes were built, one of which was wrecked 18.1.1945 at collision and two others were blown up 1.5.1945 off Travemünde.

Modernizations

None.
