Project history

Pfeil and Strahl designated as the Type 153. These two hard-chine planing boats were ordered 22 August 1960 as experimental units for comparative tests. Strahl was of the British Brave type, while Pfeil was of the improved Ferocity type. Both boats had their gas turbine exhausts situated in the stern.

After trials boat was handed over to the Greek Navy as military aid.
