Project history

Built under 1934 (1 ship), 1936 (4) and 1937 (8) programmes. La Trompeuse was cancelled. Under the design they should have minesweeping equipment. Really no one ship received it, they all were equipped instead by 2 DCT and 1 DCR. May be, some ships under British and FNFL control were rearmed with British 102mm guns and single pompoms.

Modernizations

1941 - 1942, Commandant Dominié was rearmed as follows: 1 x 2 - 102/45 QF Mk XVI, 1 x 1 - 40/39 QF Mk VIII, 2 x 2 - 13.2/76, 4 x 2 - 12.7/62, 2 x 1 - 12.7/62, 2 DCT, 1 DCR (40), sonar

1941 - 1942, Commandant Duboc was rearmed as follows: 1 x 2 - 102/45 QF Mk XVI, 1 x 1 - 40/39 QF Mk VIII, 1 x 1 - 25/60 M1938, 2 x 1 - 20/70 Oerlikon Mk II/IV, 4 x 2 - 13.2/76, 2 DCT, 1 DCR (40), sonar

1941 - 1942, La Moquese was rearmed as follows: 1 x 2 - 102/45 QF Mk XVI, 1 x 1 - 76/40 12pdr 12cwt QF Mk I/II/III/V, 1 x 1 - 40/39 QF Mk VIII, 3 x 2 - 13.2/76, 2 DCT, 1 DCR (40), sonar

1947, Commandant Dominié was rearmed as follows: 1 x 1 - 105/45 SK C/32, 1 x 1 - 40/60 Mk 3, 4 x 1 - 20/70 Mk 4, 2 DCT, 1 DCR (40), radars, sonar
