Project history

Ex-Austro-Hungarian cruiser, transferred as war reparation.

Ship protection

60mm belt closed machinery spaces only and was connected with flat 20mm deck by top. Guns had 40mm shields.

Modernizations

None.

Naval service

Thionville was used as gunnery and torpedo TS, stricken in 1932 and served as accommodation hulk till 1941.
