Ship project history: Small river gunboats, actually steam launches. They were built for Canton squadron. On Canton dialect names were read as Chung Yun and Chung Hoi.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: Both in September, 1937 were scuttled at Canton (Guangzhou).
