Project history

Former USN LST-class ships transferred after war.

Modernizations

1950s, all were rearmed with 2 x 1 - 76/50 Mk 26, 3 x 2 - 37/63 type 61, 3 x 1 - 37/73 70K, mines instead of troops and cargo

1970s, all: - old radar; + type 756 radar

Naval service

Many ships escaped to Taiwan in 1949. In 1981 PLAN ships were numbered presumably as 341-343 (905-907 in 1990), 351, 355, 901-903, and 921-926.
