Project history

Former USN detsroyer escorts of GMT (Evarts) class, leased to China.

Modernizations

None.

Naval service

Both ships escaped to Taiwan in 1949. Later, 14.11.1954, Tai Ping was torpedoed and sunk by Communist torpedo boats off Tachen Islands.
