Project history

Steel-hulled. They had a raised forecastle and a cut-away quarterdeck, and two well-spaced funnels and masts. The 12cm QF guns were mounted fore and aft and there was a fixed bow TT and two trainable tubes amidships. There was a prominent cowl between the funnels.

Ship protection

Machinery was protected by 13mm deck and 12cm guns by 114mm shields. CT had 25mm sides.
