Project history

Chinese hydrofoils of Type 025.

Modernizations

late 1990s, mostly: foils were removed.

Naval service

One boat defected in May 1991 to Italy, where the crew requested asylum, the craft was returned in October. Ten units went to Italy in 1997 and returned in 1997-1999 after repair.
